Lee A. Pollock is the firm’s leader. He brings the unique advantage of being both a highly experienced litigator and a highly experienced transactional attorney, His experience as a litigator is most valuable when doing transactional work – it enables him to identify red flags for potential dispute, and steer clients away from litigation. His experience as a transactional attorney helps him to understand the circumstances that gave rise to a dispute, find ways to resolve the dispute before trial, and adopt strategies that will lead to the best possible result when litigation is inevitable.

Lee graduated from the University of Chicago Law School, and began his practice with the Manhattan firm of Hale Russell & Gray, where he worked in the litigation department. When the Hale Russell & Gray firm was breaking up, he formed his own firm in Westchester, and then for many years was the senior partner in Pollock & Maguire, LLP, based in White Plains. In October 2021, Lee formed the present Pollock & Associates, LLP firm which is in Valhalla.

His transactional work includes representing buyers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate; representing buyers and sellers of small businesses; preparing lease agreements for both landlords and tenants; negotiating construction contracts; negotiating employment contracts for both the employer and employee; preparing operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and other agreements necessary for the formation and governance of business entities; and various other commercial and personal transactions.

Lee’s litigation experience includes contract disputes in State and Federal Courts; litigation concerning property rights including boundary line disputes and title disputes; construction disputes; employment litigation; litigation involving shareholder disputes or disputes among partners or members of limited liability companies; estate and trust litigation; professional malpractice litigation including attorney, dental, and medical malpractice; and substantial landlord-tenant litigation.

The clients Lee has represented have included a nationwide elevator consulting firm; a national hotel chain; a foreign airline; a national title insurance company; numerous cooperative apartment corporations and condominium associations; construction contractors; an educational technology firm, an international cosmetics and fragrances company; various professionals including dentists, physicians and attorneys; and many other small businesses and individuals.

Lee’s personal interests include gardening and tennis, and he has been involved with charitable and philanthropic work with the Lutheran Church, the Westchester County Historical Society (of which he presently serves on the Board of Trustees and is a past-President). Most recently, Lee is assisting a newly formed organization, Open Arms for Refugees, which was established in Westchester to help refugees from foreign countries to adapt to their new country and culture.
